Modified on Thu, 2 Nov, 2023 at 6:46 PM

Introduction

A family of weights is a group of weights assigned to a group of participants that share certain characteristics. This family of weights is assigned to participants using the participants template or from their own participant profile.

Generally, an employee will be assessed by different review categories, for example, in a 360º review. Each one of these categories have an associated weight in the calculation of the final result of a performance assessment.

Manager review: 50%

Employee review: 20%

Peer review: 10%

Self-review: 10%

Total: 100%

It's common for companies to repeat the same weights for participants that share certain characteristics. For example, their position in the company itself.

If a company is made of 3,000 employees, assigning weights to each one of them can be tiresome. Here is when family of weights become useful.
