Before creating an additional field in Rankmi, it's necessary to know the type of information we want to store, how we want to use it and how we want to have it at our disposal in our process.
Below we will explain the three types of additional fields that exist and also give you some examples of which types of information they can store.
List type
It's the standard and most commonly used type of additional field. It allows you to create a dropdown list in the profile of the participant with different options.
It can be used to group alphabetical and alphanumerical values. This type of additional field is the most flexible one of the three.
- Cases of use: Country/City of our participants; Age/Seniority in ranges; Manager's name; among others.
Number type
This type of additional field accepts numerical values only.
Following the example of the seniority of an employee, if the additional field will be of the numerical type, the seniority will be shown in numerical values and it would be advisable to use a unit of measurement and indicate it in the name of the additional field.
- Cases of use: Seniority in months/years; Number of employees under charge; Priority to be assessed; among others.
Date type
This type of additional field accepts values charged in DD/MM/YYYY or DD-MM-YYYY formats only. When clicking on it from the participant's profile, it's shown as a calendar where you can select a date.
- Cases of use: Date of birth; Start date; Day of leave of absence; among others.
